Winter Games Schedule

I’m so excited that this Olympics is going to be closer than Italy or China. It’s not that I’ll be attending (although I did consider this, but we have a new business, and that’s kind of like having an infant), but at least the television schedule won’t require me to watch at 2 a.m. if I want to see anything live.

So, with that in mind, I’m sure many of you are wondering what the schedule looks like for the Winter Olympics. The general schedule is that the Winter Games open on Friday, February 12 with the Opening Ceremonies. They run through Sunday, February 28.

If you’re looking for a schedule of all of the events, the official Vancouver website has a good one.

The majority of the events will be broadcast on your local NBC affiliate. I’m not really a fan of how complicated NBC has made it to find out what that schedule is, but I guess it varies based on who provides your programming. Anyway, you can go to the site and enter your zip code, make some choices, and you’ll get the “personalized option”, which includes the television schedule (only right now it’s a “coming soon”).
